Casual Casita primarily works on a flat-fee, per-project basis. This allows for a clear scope, defined deliverables, and a streamlined design process without ongoing or open-ended billing.

Designer for a Day is offered as a standalone, session-based service for clients seeking focused design guidance outside of a full design package.

Getting started is simple. Begin by filling out ourClient Questionnaire so we can learn more about your space, style and goals. After reviewing your responses, we’ll reach out to recommend the best next step — whether that’s a consultation or moving directly into a design service. If you have a general question, you’re also welcome to reach out through our Contact Form.

The initial consultation allows us to meet, review your space and goals, and determine the best design approach for your project. We’ll discuss your needs, style, and how you live so we can prepare a tailored design proposal if we move forward. Consultations are typically required for flat-fee design packages.

For Designer for a Day, a consultation is not required. Fit and scope can be confirmed through a brief phone or email conversation prior to scheduling.

The consultation is a working session that provides focused expertise and allows us to thoughtfully assess your project. Charging a fee ensures we can dedicate the time and attention needed to develop a clear scope, accurate pricing, and a well-prepared proposal.

A consultation is not required for Designer for a Day, which is offered as a standalone, session-based service.

Designer for a Day is a focused, session-based service rather than an ongoing hourly engagement. Sessions begin with a 3-hour minimum and may be extended if additional time is needed.

This service does not require a separate consultation and is scheduled after confirming scope via phone or email.

The Consultation fee is due before the consultation occurs.

The Design Fee is paid in full when the contract is signed to kick off the work.

New construction and larger projects may follow a personalized payment plan, broken down by phases.

Payment for all furniture, materials and goods, including tax, shipping, handling and delivery, are all due in full at the time of purchase.

You will pay tradesmen and contractors directly according to their own contracts and fee schedules. We will help facilitate, but Casual Casita does not sub-contract.

For Full Service packages, all purchases and execution goes through Casual Casita. This will serve as payment for my services during the purchase and execution phase. In addition, many of the items I use in your design will be custom ordered or from to-the-trade-only sources. All design items (furniture, fixtures, fabrics, rugs, etc.) and the delivery and installation of these items are handled by me to ensure the outcome of the overall design.

For E-Design and standard design projects, we provide a detailed design and product sourcing list and then the client handles the ordering and delivery coordination of all items. We are happy to discuss additional “add-ons” if you would like our support for these services.

We work with you using Pinterest & inspiration photos to help narrow down YOUR personal style! It's usually a mix of styles and we think it's SO much fun. We also have a Client Questionnaire that asks detailed questions to help you (and us) understand what you like.

Our design process is fun, organized, timely and interactive. Each client has access to a design portal where they can view their project, approve or decline product selections, share ideas, communicate with the designer, and more. Our design style is unique, inviting, & somewhat eclectic, never boring or cookie cutter. We even add a little playfulness and whimsy if you’re willing! It’s not just what we do—it’s how we do it that sets us apart.
